Delphi Bi-state Real-time (BSRTD) Damping Monotube System

The Delphi Bi-state Real-time Damping (BSRTD) Monotube System is a semiactive, two-position damping control system that responds in real time to road and driving conditions, based on input from sensors that monitor body and wheel motions. Vehicle speed, steering angle, and braking are also used as inputs.

This production-proven system consists of four two-position monotube shock absorbers with internal solenoid valve and optional lift capability, four motion sensors, and a controller. Optional features can include a steering sensor and a driver preference switch.

Typical Applications

The Delphi Bi-state Real-time Damping Monotube System is designed for up-level sport utility vehicles, as well as luxury automobile platforms with shock absorber suspension systems. An optional lift capability feature is available.
