The Delphi E1 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector is a lightweight and compact fuel injection system for heavy duty applications to help manufacturers meet Euro III and US02/04 emissions standards, with potential for Euro IV and Euro V. The Delphi E1 EUI is based on Delphi's successful EUI 200 Electronic Unit Injector and features the same basic operation, but with increased pressure capability and reduced size and weight. It also features a smaller spill valve and actuator which are incorporated into the body of the injector to improve packaging. The Delphi E1 provides high-speed operation, electronic pilot injection, individual injector electronic characterization, reduced response time and reduced noise.
Benefits
Typical Applications
The Delphi E1 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector is designed for heavy duty engine applications to help manufacturers meet Euro III and US 02/04 emissions regulations.
Performance Advantages
The Delphi E1 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector provides increased pressure capability while its compact design provides a smaller installation envelope to benefit engine designers. Sensors provide digital signals to the engine control unit (ECU) on a wide range of engine functions, including accelerator position, engine speed, camshaft position, air inlet manifold pressure and temperature, ambient air temperature, and more. This information is continuously compared with optimum values enabling the Delphi E1 EUI to deliver fuel at the appropriate timing required by the engine.
