Delphi Side Impact Airbags help provide occupants with head, neck, thorax and/or pelvis protection in side-impact collisions and when the vehicle is equipped with a rollover sensor, rollovers. Available for door or seat mounting to meet vehicle manufacturers' needs, Delphi Side Airbag Modules are available for both passenger car and commercial vehicle applications.

Designed to deploy from the vehicle's roof rail, Side Curtain Airbags provide head protection and can be used in combination with door- or seat-mounted side impact airbags. The inflation pressure in the side curtain airbags can be extended to enhance protection during multiple impacts and vehicle rollovers.

As an alternative to roof rail mounting, Delphi also offers a door-mounted curtain airbag that provides head and thorax protection and may provide cost and installation advantages over conventional side and curtain airbag combinations. The patented cushion design not only integrates side and torso protection, but increases lateral airbag stability.
