Delphi Liquid Cooling Unit

The Delphi Liquid Cooling Unit enables a highly efficient method to draw heat away from a processor in high-performance computers and transfer it to the ambient environment. Using liquid (usually water based) to cool high-powered electronics offers considerable advantages over air-cooled systems, including enhanced performance and quieter operation. Delphi's portfolio includes a family of 50,000-hour, virtually silent pumps designed expressly for the computer marketplace.

Operating Principle

The Delphi Liquid Cooling Unit circulates a specialized heat transfer liquid through a cold plate that is attached to a computer's processor unit, where heat is transferred to the cooler liquid. The warm liquid flows through a tube to a radiator at the back of the computer casing, where the heat is transferred to the ambient air. The cool liquid then circulates back to the CPU to repeat the process. Fluid flow is generated by a long-life pump.
